First aid for mental health supervising, 2 day course

This is a detailed course aimed at those who have responsibility within a workplace for mental health first aid. It covers a wide range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals.

It covers the content of both the awareness and first aider courses and includes:

• Self harm
• Eating disorders
• Bipolar disorder
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Schizophrenia
• Suicide
• Personality disorders
• Psychosis
• PTSD
• Drugs and alcohol
• Mental health conditions

This is a two-day course and covers both practical and theory elements.

Successful candidates receive a certificate valid for three years.
